### Why is it a from and not a price?

Because the same job is not the same work on two machines. On this make two large variables come before the part is even named: which generation the appliance is, since the same digits belong to different tables here, and how the machine is fitted into the room. Either can change the hour, and the first can change the part number entirely. The exact cost is confirmed at your appliance, in writing, before anything is opened.

### Is the diagnostic on top of this?

The diagnostic is from $95 and it comes off the repair when you go ahead. Where the answer is that the machine is not worth mending — or that a part for a platform outside the US catalog has no route left — you have paid for the answer rather than for a part.

### Does a part from Europe cost more, or just take longer?

Longer, mostly. On the kitchen appliances the supply channel is European and that is a lead time we state at the diagnostic rather than a surcharge we add afterwards. The one figure that genuinely carries it is the control board, and PRICING.md says so in as many words.
