### Four cheap things, and the interval this climate needs

Filters, seals, drains and airflow. On machines built to a twenty-year test almost everything that ends one early is on that list, and none of it announces itself: a condenser packed solid in a closet at summer humidity, a dishwasher filter stack rinsed but never lifted, a door seal cutting itself on grit, an air gap closed by joinery fitted after the appliance. The service intervals printed in the manuals assume a cooler and drier laundry room than South Florida has, so the visit sets an interval from what your machines are actually doing rather than from a figure written elsewhere.

Everything that filters or drains

Dishwasher filter stack, washer pump filter, dryer lint and condenser filters, refrigeration drain channel. Cleared, rinsed and reseated — the reseating is where half the leaks we are later called to begin.

Everything that seals

Door gaskets checked along their whole length rather than at the handle, because grit collects at the bottom fold and cuts there. A seal caught early is a clean; a seal caught late is water in a floor slab.

Everything that moves air

Condenser coils, cooling fans and the gaps the machines were fitted with. In a laundry closet at this humidity the condenser filter loads faster than any manual expects, and it is the single most common thing we find.

### Can one visit cover several machines?

Yes, and it is much cheaper that way — the journey and the setup are paid once. A laundry closet almost always holds two Asko machines and a kitchen specified around the brand often holds more.

### What can I do myself between visits?

Most of it, and this site says how rather than hiding it. What is worth leaving to a visit is the part you cannot reach: lint inside the dryer cabinet, the condenser washed properly, the shock absorbers assessed, and the dishwasher hardness set from a real reading of the supply.
