The interlocks exist so that the cavity cannot run unless the machine is satisfied the door is closed and sealed. They are mechanical, they are operated every time the door shuts, and they wear — and when one stops confirming, the machine stops dead without saying which. Testing them one at a time is most of the labor. The geometry is corrected with them, because a switch fitted under a door that has dropped on its hinges will be fitted again within the year.
