Asko dishwasher leak repair

Fill, wash and drain phases each watched separately, because each puts a different part of the machine under pressure and a leak that shows in one may not show in another.

Where it shows is not where it started
Behind a custom panel water runs along the frame and emerges at the toe kick, so the puddle says almost nothing about the source. The sequence that works is unglamorous and reliable: isolate, take the custom door off, bring the machine out, then run fill, wash and drain separately and watch, because each phase pressurizes a different part. Most of the cost here is finding it rather than fixing it, and the alternative — a guess with a part attached — is how a sound door seal gets replaced on a machine leaking at a hose union. The carcass under the machine gets looked at too.

Can I keep using it until you come?
No. A leak that has reached the base tray will reach the floor, and in a condominium the floor has somebody else's apartment under it. Two days unused costs far less than two days of careful use.
It only leaks on hot washes.
Useful, and worth saying on the phone. Rubber and plastic expand, so a marginal seal or a tired union fails hot and holds cold — it points straight at the part and shortens the visit.
