Read the old seal before removing it
Where it cut and on which side tells us whether this is grit, a hinge that has dropped or a machine out of level. Fitting a new seal without that answer buys about a year.

Fit the seal and both clamps properly
Inner and outer clamps seated at the right positions and the drain port in the bellows clear — a blocked port holds water against the new rubber from the first wash.

Correct what cut it
Level, hinge, and the habit of leaving the door shut on a damp drum. We say the last one out loud because it is the one that decides the next seal's life.

What makes it awkward to write about honestly is that five different code families are in circulation across the machines still running in South Florida: the W6 display machines print F10 to F12; the WM75 platform speaks in E-numbers as far as E37; the numbered-LED machines use a short F-set whose meanings do not match the display machines; the analog LED machines signal L1 to L6 and mean different things by model; and the premium panels skip the code entirely and print a sentence. The bellows fold at the bottom of the door holds a little water and everything that came out of pockets, and that material abrades the rubber from the inside. So the seal is failing long before anything shows, and by the time it does the cabinet and often the floor beneath have been taking water for a while. The visit reads the old seal before removing it — where it cut and on which side says whether this was grit, a hinge that has dropped, or a machine standing out of level — and fits the new one with both clamps seated and the drain port in the bellows clear.
