How do I know when it needs doing?

Can I open the cabinet myself?
We would rather you did not. The panels come off, there is mains wiring and either a heater or a sealed refrigeration circuit inside, and putting it back wrong is worse than leaving it. It is the cheapest visit on our list for exactly that reason.
