On a condenser or heat pump machine — which is what this badge sells — this is almost never about heat, and that is the thing worth understanding before anybody is called. Nothing is being blown outside: moisture is condensed out of the air and collected, so the machine depends on three separate filters and a condenser staying clear. Not tapped out over a bin — washed until the water runs clear. If the answer is never, start there.

A container that stays dry after a full cycle means no moisture is being removed, which is a different and more serious answer than a container that fills normally.

A description of the behaviour leaves a few possible causes. A code names the subsystem, and the model number says which parts to bring. Either one shortens the visit; both together usually settle it.
If the display is showing something
- L2 High ambient temperature, low heater output and low drying temperature — poor condensation.
- F30 Poor condensation because external air is blocked.
- LCD2 Clean the condenser — raised automatically every hundred cycles, or when the air path blocks.
- ERROR_4 Control unit — and the manual's own remedy is to clean the filters or contact service.

What to do in the next ten minutes
Empty the water container and put it back seated. Take the lint filter out of the door opening, rinse it under a tap and dry it before refitting — a wet filter blocks air as well as a dirty one. Then open the plinth at the bottom front, take out the condenser filter or block, and wash it until the water runs clear. Run a standard load and time it.
What a condenser dryer is actually doing
It takes damp air from the drum, cools it so the moisture drops out, warms it again and sends it back. Nothing leaves the room but heat. That is why it can live in a closet with no external wall, and it is also why every part of the air path matters more than on a vented machine: there is no duct to the outside carrying problems away, so a blocked filter simply recirculates damp air.
Why the interval here is shorter than the manual's
The service intervals in the manual assume a temperate laundry room. An interior closet in Miami sits at high humidity for months at a time, and the filters load in proportion to how much moisture the machine is moving. The machines that reach fifteen years here are the ones where somebody washed the condenser twice a year instead of waiting for a cycle that never ended.

Yes, and it is a genuine test as well as a help — if drying improves noticeably, the closet is starving the machine and ventilation is the fix rather than a part.
Is it worth switching to a vented dryer?
